is the homepage for Josh-Wodak, a sometime artist, othertimes a person, and occasionally a reluctant member of the human species (you know, on those oft/off days when actions speak louder than words and unspeakable acts are spoken about).
This perfunktorily funktioning webshite is for the non-express purpose/delivery service of scantly cladding on a mish mash of projects, from indy d.i.y. lo-fi/no-tek tongue in cheeky riff raff to hi-fi-hi-tek-first-class-travelling-section-think-I-need-a-lear-jet projects involving large-scale long-term interdisciplinary collaborations with fellow intermedia artists, designers, social scientists, computer scientists, engineers and technologists.
This webshite documents some of the projects done during Phase #1 (in which Doris got her oats:2000-2009). Phase #2 (right the wrong of the treaty of verse#9 from outer pace:2010...and beyond) begins with a series of art projects produced on the road in Europe+Asia with post-production in residencies back in Australia in 2011.
A piece of paper keeps telling me I was born in 1979 in London (donut believe everything you re:ad), butter an apple cider dySneycider cinse 1982 (note the disqualifying 'but'). Then not much happened for twenty odd years, during which time, to the beast of recollection, I was aLife. Cinse the dawn of the new utopian millennium (so far so good, no?), I have been rehashing a background in Western classical music performance+composition, coupled with school sanctioned curbs on creative writing+visual art, into a hybrid hotch potch of sonic, visual + interactive installation art. My practice-based-research attempts to straddle the seemingly unassailable gulf war v3.0 between the shiny feel-of-steel sheen of electronic+media arts and ye olde school stuffed taxidermists that be ye olde skull in comparison...
